Char Kway Teow! One of Singapore’s most beloved street food, this noodle-based recipe is a must-see for any non-vegetarian enthusiast. So, follow Chef Harsh Garg as he shares his secrets for a delicious bowl of Char Kway Teow!

Ingredients needed to make Char Kway Teow:
150g flat rice noodles
Vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of shrimp paste
150 g chicken breast, thinly sliced
3 eggs, beaten
¼ cup mushrooms, quartered
¼ cup tofu, cubed
¼ cup baby green onion leaves, sliced
3 tablespoons of black soy sauce
1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce

How to do Char Kway Teow:
1) In a bowl, combine the dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, sugar and oyster sauce. Put aside.
2) Prepare noodles according to package directions and set aside.

3) Heat a wok over high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the shrimp paste and sauté for about 30 seconds. Then add the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

4) Add the mushrooms and tofu and sauté for another minute.

5) Now add the noodles and mix everything well.

6) Add the beaten eggs and fold them into the noodles so that they stick to everything.

7) Then add the sauce you made in step 1. Mix everything well to make sure all the noodles and meat are well coated.

8) Finally, add the spring onions and serve hot immediately.
